I have been training dogs for the past 10 years and I have always shown a strong interest in training dogs ever since I was a child, I trained my first family dog, Indy, an english shepherd mix the basics of sit and down when i was around the age of 6. When I turned 17 I adopted a dog from a local shelter named Barron, he was such a great family dog! However, on walks I noticed that he was barking at people. I could not afford a trainer and none of them offered training plans or said they could fix him in one training session which I know is not possible. This is why I like to be flexible with my clients! He was reactive so this is where i started learning and took matters into my own hands and over a period of a few months he was no longer reactive. One year later I got my second dog Bueller, who i saw for sale on Facebook. He was from a farm in Iowa and under socialized, when I got him home, you can guess it, I noticed he was also reactive to people. After a period of time I was able to get him to be neutral to people. One year later I decided I wanted to get into IGP formerly known as Schutzhund which is a German sport for German shepherds. My two dogs did not have the correct temperament for it so I opted to buy from a local reputable breeder and that is how I ended up with Bauer who is successful in the sport and is titled to IGP2, he is my most social dog. I now also have a son from him who will be training in PSA along with training his sire Bauer in PSA as well. In between owning these dogs I worked at two shelters and worked under another trainer to learn more knowledge on training pet dogs and now have a total of 10 years professional experience.

I have been professionally training and handling dogs since 2015. I have always had a deep love for animals and dogs. My family always had multiple animals and wildlife. It's just in my nature to work with animals! When I was around 18 years old, I had gotten my first working dog. A Dutch Shepherd named Kona. Needless to say, I had no idea what I was doing, I didn't know how to train a dog at all! Around 1 year of age, Kona started showing signs of severe reactivity and mild aggression. He would actually come up the leash and go for my throat over the sight of another animal. I knew he was struggling because I was struggling. From that point on, I found a trainer. Without him, I wouldn't be the trainer I am today. He saw my potential and dedication to working with Kona and took me under his wing as an apprentice. Over the last decade, I have continued to grow as a Handler and Trainer. I gained most of my experience in the beginning, from taking in problem dogs rehabilitating/training them and then finding them their forever homes. A trained dog has a higher chance of staying in a single home. Since then, I have continued to expand my knowledge and started traveling and working with big names in the dog industry. I have a decade of experience working with dogs with a variety of behavioral issues such as aggression, reactivity, separation anxiety, fear, and more. Pet training such as basic, advanced, off leash training and sport obedience. In my free time, you can often find me somewhere enjoying nature or working with my dogs and hanging out with my two kiddos. I own 3 German Shepherds and 1 Belgian Malinois. They participate in Personal Protection and PSA (Protection Sports Association). We train with high levels of obedience, which is needed when teaching dogs it's fun to bite. When we're not training, we're hiking and traveling to the mountains and enjoying the bliss up there.
